Getting started
What is ReefCMD?
A reef aquarium command center: log water parameters, track your livestock and coral, watch trends on clear charts, and get AI-powered help when something looks off. It runs in your browser and as iOS / Android apps.
How does the free trial work?
Every account gets 45 days of full access, no card required. After the trial, logging new readings and AI features pause until you subscribe — your existing readings, photos, and animals stay safe and viewable, and you can download your data as CSV any time.
Bridge & devices
How do I connect my Apex (or other controller)?
Open the Integrations tab. Setup walks you through installing the small ReefCMD Bridge daemon on any Docker host on your home network (NAS, Pi, Mac mini), pairing it with a 6-digit code, and adding your controller. No port forwarding, no static IPs, no exposing the controller to the internet.
How often does it pull new readings?
The Bridge syncs each device on its own interval, which you can change per device in Integrations. A shorter interval keeps your charts closer to real-time; a longer one means the latest reading can lag by up to that interval.
Troubleshooting
My readings or charts are 1–2 hours behind real-time.
ReefCMD timestamps each reading using your controller’s own clock, so if the controller’s time is wrong, readings land in the past. The usual cause is Daylight Saving Time: a controller left on standard time during DST runs an hour behind, so every reading is stamped an hour early (two hours if the timezone is also off).
  • Fix the controller’s clock. Set the correct timezone and enable Daylight Saving. On a Neptune Apex: Apex Fusion → Network Setup / Date & Time (or the controller’s local screen) — set the timezone and turn DST on, then confirm the controller’s own clock reads the correct time. Note the Apex Fusion web view can show the right time even when the controller itself is off, so check the controller’s clock, not just the portal.
  • Lower the sync interval in Integrations if the device only syncs infrequently — a long interval adds to the apparent lag.
New readings will timestamp at real-time once the controller’s clock is correct. (Readings already logged at the wrong time keep their original stamp.)
I got a “device silent” alert but my Bridge looks fine.
That alert fires when no new reading has arrived for a while. A long sync interval (or a controller clock that’s behind — see above) can make fresh data look stale and trip it. Lower the sync interval and correct the controller’s clock; readings flowing again clears the alert automatically.
Billing & account
How do I cancel?
Web subscribers: open Billing → “Manage subscription.” iOS: iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Android: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions. You keep access until the period ends, and your data is never deleted on cancellation.
I want to delete my account.
Self-serve from Settings → Account, or see the account-deletion page. Your readings, photos, and tank data are removed at the same time.
I forgot my password.
Use the password reset page — we’ll email you a one-time link.
