🚨 IN YOUR TANK
You have 6 susceptible animal(s): 🐡 Ocellaris Clownfish, 🐟 Royal Gramma, 🐟 Firefish Goby, 🦐 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp, 🐚 Turbo Snail, 🦀 Blue Leg Hermit Crab.
Powerful crustaceans that hitchhike in live rock. Stomatopods are apex predators — they will systematically hunt and kill every fish and shrimp in your tank. Their strike can break glass. Impressive animals but catastrophic in a reef.
🔍 IDENTIFICATION
Usually heard before seen — a loud clicking or knocking sound at night. May see a claw or eyes peering from a rock hole. Fish and shrimp disappearing with no explanation. Occasionally spotted at night with a red flashlight.
🛡 PREVENTION
Inspect new live rock carefully — reject any rock with deep unexplored tunnels
Cure live rock in a separate container first
Listen for clicking sounds when adding new rock
