🚨 IN YOUR TANK
You have 6 susceptible animal(s): 🐡 Ocellaris Clownfish, 🐟 Royal Gramma, 🐟 Firefish Goby, 🐟 Orchid Dottyback, 🐟 Tailspot Blenny, 🐟 Yellow Tang.
The most common marine fish disease. Parasitic protozoan completes part of its lifecycle on fish skin, causing white spots. Stress is the primary trigger. Never truly eliminated from a tank — managed through fish immunity and quarantine.
🔍 IDENTIFICATION
Small white spots (1mm) on fish body and fins, like grains of salt. Fish may flash (scratch against rock), breathe rapidly, or hide. Spots disappear and reappear on a ~7-day cycle as the parasite drops off to reproduce.
🛡 PREVENTION
Quarantine ALL new fish for 4–6 weeks in a separate tank
Maintain stable temperature — swings trigger outbreaks
Keep fish stress low — avoid overcrowding and aggression
